OAY Kenya

The OAYouth Kenya is affiliated to the OAY regional body. In Kenya, our programming, we apply the concepts of; shared learning, coordinated advocacy, community informatics and non-formal learning towards promotion of community driven development and citizen-led accountability for sustained and effective participation, participatory decision making, policy formulation and legislation for sound and non-tokenistic youth empowerment

Our Strategy

The central thrust of OAYouth’s programming is the obliteration of the deprived people syndrome (DPS) in young African people, through strategies and activities that enhance African pride, productivity and unity.
Founded on the belief that Africans do not always need to be pitied and helped, OAYouth fosters continuous participation, learning and training.
OAY African regional programmes are centred on key objectives, targeted at responding to African youth's unique needs and aspirations
